Headshot Poses are Basic (& Easy)
This isn’t the time to put on a model pose or to wow your audience with your dramatic faces. In fact, the more plain, kind, and approachable you look, the more likely people are to want to interact with you.

The subject is typically looking into the camera, engaged, and aware that their photo is being taken. It’s not typically taken candidly.

Headshots are tightly cropped.
The face should fill most of the frame since the intent intent is to show the face, close-up. Typically cropped from the shoulders, up.

Most photographers choose to shoot on white. We offer this too, but we prefer colours. We like having syrup with our vanilla ice cream, and spice with our rice. We love monochromatic looks, with one dominant colour.

Dramatic lighting is typically reserved for portraits, not headshots. For headshots, we just want to see the person and not dramatic lighting.

Headshots aren't heavily edited.
While we lighten eye bags & teeth a bit, remove blemishes & stray hairs,the intent of a headshot is typically to be honest. That means no crazy retouching (although, upon request we can retouch your face more heavily).

Starting Rates: 250 CAD for one polished, natural makeup application and high-quality hair styling.
Pricing Factors: Costs vary based on complexity, project scope, styles, and duration.

How do I Prepare for my Headshot?
Always make sure you’re well-rested the night before. Listen to something empowering or exciting on the way over to your shoot. It’ll make a difference—we promise!
What Do I Wear for my Headshot?
Dress to impress, but don’t go overboard. No fancy patterns, graphics, nor too many colours. It’s best to decide on a theme, and discuss it with the photographer to explore options!
Who Needs a Headshot?
Anyone who plans to be taken seriously. Remember the last time you saw a professional represented anywhere with a photo that was shot on their iPhone? We don’t!
I’m Nervous: I’ve Never Taken a Headshot BEfore.
Most of our clients have never taken professional photos before, and they always leave in a fantastic mood with great photos. Danny, the photographer loves bringing joy to people and making them feel comfortable
Do You Provide Hair / Makeup for Headshots?
Not as part of the listed package price. We find that most of our clients are fine with their own basic makeup. We may suggest makeup & hair services for branding photos, but rarely for headshots.
How Fast Do I Get My Photos Back?
In an instant. You choose your favourite image in-studio (on our massive screen), and by the next day you’re already showing off that shiny new photo on your LinkedIn profile!
